That being said, November is national Crohns Awareness Month. This is a month where people should take a stand against ignorance and pass it on. Breaking the cycle of ignorance is as simple as sharing a post or a bit of information with those around you. I think we are often afraid to share information that people might judge us for sharing, but what if we stopped caring what those around us think, and posted about things that we really cared about? If this were to happen, then Facebook, twitter and social media feeds would be filled with interesting information and we would become better-rounded people from interacting with others via social media.
So I challenge you to take part in Crohns Awareness Month, and repost and share this blog and other Crohns Related posts with those around you. If we each take the time to share with those around us, then together we can educate and raise awareness for a largely misunderstood disease. Help me be part of the change, and share this with those around you so together we can change the stigmas associated with IBD. Because living with Crohns is difficult, but breaking the stigmas could make things easier in my not so normal life.
